Last Saturday MPR athlete Stephanie Irizarry earned herself another victory in the octagon with a last second rear-naked choke. Stephanie was in control of all 3 rounds before securing a beautiful takedown, securing the back and eventually the choke with 3 seconds left. Becoming the first woman’s Maverick MMA Champ is on her radar. Stephanie is becoming a real force on the woman’s MMA circuit with a TKO, 2 submissions and her only loss was a controversial decision loss to a highly touted Olympian boxer making her crossover to MMA.
