JUNIOR  MMA 

We offer 3 different Junior Programs:  Junior Striking, JiuJitsu and Junior Boxing (which includes all 5 Junior classes).

(Ages 8-13) All of our Junior classes are designed to teach all aspects of martial arts and fitness.  The Junior MMA Program consists of all of our Junior Kids Classes which are JiuJitsu (Gi & No Gi), Striking (Boxing, Muay Thai).  This system ensures your child learns all phases of Self Defense.  All children are required to purchase a regulation JiuJitsu Gi to participate in the Gi JiuJitsu Program and to become belted through our system.  In addition boxing gloves, mouthpiece and shinguards are necessary for the Junior Muay Thai Classes and Boxing gloves for the Boxing Program.

The MPR Junior Program offers your child a unique opportunity to learn self defense, to grow as an athlete and more importantly to become more confident in themselves as the learn valuable life lessons. Your child will learn and grow in areas such as:

  • ANTI BULLYING AND SELF DEFENSE

Nowadays schools don’t offer safe haven for our children. Bullying is on the rise and the violence is increasing. Unfortunately our children can’t always walk away from other harmful kids and situations. Our kids deserve to be safe and the only way to ensure that is through martial arts training and physical fitness. Martial arts training will give your child the confidence and tools they need to protect themselves in those difficult situations.

JUNIOR JIU JITSU – 3 classes per week
Jiu Jitsu is one of the fastest growing sports in the world. Jiu Jitsu teaches discipline, self control, grappling and submission wrestling. Many of the worlds best fighters are trained in Jiu Jitsu for a reason. No matter what your child’s skill or athletic level is Jiu Jitsu will have something to offer.

The principles of Jiu Jitsu are very similar to those of karate and other childrens martial arts, which encourage consitency, attendance, effort, and determination. These elements are the focus of our Jiu Jitsu kids program. Many of the benefits are obtained indirectly, so the kids improve in a natural and graduated pace, which instills positive reinforcement.

Jiu Jitsu will also teach your child to respect one’s opponent. This helps in controlling tendencies such as foul language and poor sportsmanship. Your child will learn to treat everyone with respect as he or she builds relationships with their peers.

JUNIOR STRIKING – MUAY THAI / KICKBOXING – 2 classes per week
Our Youth Striking Program is a fun way to teach children basic Boxing, Kicking and Defensive Striking Skills. These basic fundamentals include proper footwork, punching and kicking technique as well as MMA Striking techniques. These basics are taught through drilling, heavy bag work and partner drills.

Additionally, your child will learn how to maximize their stamina and strength levels while at the same time enhancing their motor coordination.

We provide children with a safe kickboxing fitness environment that enables them to have fun while working out. This makes it easier for them to learn very challenging techniques as well as discipline while having fun.

JUNIOR BOXING – 2 classes per week
Our Junior Boxing Program is led by the Champ Time Witherspoon Jr.
