This weekend in Moscow at the prestigious World Cup which is regarded as one of the best Sambo tournaments in the world MPR’s Anthony Terrell and Johnson Jajoute showed tough American grit by powering their way to earning bronze medals against some amazing competition in Combat Sambo.  Overall the entire USA Sambo team overcame the adversity of competing across the globe, traveling and fighting in a different time zone.

USA Coaches Mikhail Kozitskiy, Erik Purcell and Bob Clark were there to rally the troops and guide the US athletes through the demanding field of competitors.  Overall in Sports Sambo 19 year old US star John Jayne went on to go 2-1 to also earn a bronze medal.  Eddie Witten showed grit earning his bronze and Joshua Giza put on a great performance as well.  Athlete Pat Sabatini unfortunately wasn’t able to compete because of a late injury which left him out of the bracket, but overall the USA Sambo trip to the World Cup was a great experience  with our guys earning 4 bronze medals out of 5 and 2 of MPR’s finest representing America on the team.
